I love Michelle Diener’s historical suspense mysteries. They are all based around actual events, with delightful characters and a side dish of romance. A Dangerous Madness is connected to her previous novels; The Emperor’s Conspiracy and Banquet of Lies since we see characters from those novels but all are standalone and can be read in any order.

Escorts, murder and cover ups added to the suspense and had me flipping the pages. Mini review: Complex characters, sexual tension, heat, murder and suspense made this an excellent beginning to the Justice Team series.

Ashes and Bone is the third book in the Delta Crossroads trilogy by Stacy Green. These romantic suspense stories all take place in the quaint southern town of Roselea, Mississippi. I have come to care for the characters in this town and quickly settled in to the story. Mini review: A great tie in to the overall story arc, with intense action and interesting suspects.
