Pocket Apocalypse by Seanan McGuire is the fourth book in the urban fantasy InCryptid series and continues with Alex’s POV. Alex and Shelby go Down Under when there is an outbreak of lycanthropy. Forget sexy, shape-shifting wolves these creatures are deadly.
Sparrow Hill Road by Seanan McGuire
I have had a copy of Sparrow Hill Road by Seanan McGuire on my Kindle since 2016. When it got a new cover, I decided it was time to begin and I am delighted that I did. These shorts were enthralling and filled with ghostly urban legends. Travel along with Rose, the ghost girl of the highway, who helps the living as she tries to outrun a man who never sleeps and wants to claim her as his own.
How to Save an Undead Life by Hailey Edwards
I have been craving urban fantasy and paranormal stories, so when I scrolled past a Facebook Ad for How to Save an Undead Life by Hailey Edwards I clicked to learned more. Necromancers, magical houses and more had me one-clicking. How to Save an Undead Life was addictive, entertaining and offered a well-developed world where the paranormal begins live among humans.
Half-Off Ragnarok by Seanan McGuire
And my crazy urban fantasy binge continues with Half-Off Ragnarok by Seanan McGuire. This is the third audio in the InCryptid series. Interestingly it comes with a change in POV, narrators, locations, and murder. Once again McGuire pulled me into the crazy world of InCryptid.
Scourged by Kevin Hearne
I devoured Scourged by Kevin Hearne, the ninth and final book in the Iron Druid Chronicles within the first 24 hours of its release. Once again, I listened to the brilliant narrations of Luke Daniels. Then, I listened again. As much as I am not ready to say goodbye to this series, Hearne delivered an intense, twisted and heartfelt finale that still left the door open for more stories. (Please let there be more stories.)
