I love the Tidewater series by Mary Behre and totally recommend them. Energized the third novel was one of my favorites. Behre delivered suspense, a second chance romance and took us into the mind of a killer. If you like romantic suspense with paranormal elements the Tidewater series offers lovable characters and suspenseful tales.
The Bourbon Kings by J.R Ward is the first novel in a new contemporary series by the same name. Ward takes us into the lives of one of the south’s most privileged families. The Bradford family may be the king of bourbon but behind the glamour and facade lie secrets, sadness, and hatred. All carefully held in check and never spoken of but things are about to change. Captivating, filled with drama and broken characters I found myself swept up in their lives.
K. A. Tucker has become one of my favorite authors and her Burying Water series is among my favorites. I jumped into Chasing River without reading the synopsis and was delighted to find we were not in Oregon but Dublin! Amber Welles is traveling and it is here that her life is about to change. Filled with suspense, tender moments and a look into some of Ireland’s history Chasing River delivered all that I hoped for and more. While this is classified as NA, it has the feel of an adult novel.
Rescuing the Bad Boy is the second novel in Jessica Lemmon’s Second Chance series and after the good time I had with Bringing Home the Bad Boy I knew I had to read the next installment. Boy Howdy am I am glad that I did. Donovan Pate made my heart do flip-flops and I wanted to kiss every one of his scars. Jessica Lemmon brings heat to this small-town romance series with fleshed out characters and a town readers will want to visit again and again.
Funny story, I never intended to read A Shattered Moment by Tiffany King the first in her Fractured Lives series. I accidentally accepted it for review and thought-here, we go another New Adult with drama. Then I took a closer look at the synopsis, grabbed a box of truffles, a glass of wine and settled in. Guess What! I absolutely adored this touching story of overcoming, pain, loss, love and growth. I could not put it down and tip my hat to King for offering a new adult contemporary with depth and characters who will steal your heart.
