AN OFFER FROM A GENTLEMAN by Julia Quinn is the third novel in the delightful historical romance series, Bridgertons. Quinn has fun with this tale delivering a fairy tale retelling of the classic Cinderella complete with an evil stepmother. I delighted in the story even if miscommunication frustrated me.
The Lightkeeper’s Daughters by Jean E. Pendziwol
THE LIGHTKEEPER’S DAUGHTERS by Jean E. Pendziwol and narrated by Dara Rosenberg, Dawn Harvey, and Tom Parks shares the story of events that happened twenty years before on Porphyry Island situated on Lake Superior. Pendziwol skillfully brings past and present together brilliantly.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling Audio Listen
To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Harry Potter and in conjunction with the Wizarding World Book Club, I chose to listen to HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE for the first time. Narrated by Jim Dale the tale once again came to life and I was lost to it.
The Only One by Lauren Blakely
THE ONLY ONE by Lauren Blakely is A One Love Novella and part of 1001 Dark Nights. It delivered a standalone second chance romance. Find out what happens when the man who made you swoon before standing you up ends up catering your fundraising event ten years later. Hot and heartwarmer this tale is slightly different from Blakely’s recent rom coms.
Red Fox by Karina Halle
RED FOX by Karina Halle is the second novel in the Experiment in Terror series. Jo Raylan continues to narrate and I am happy to report RED FOX was a stronger, creeper tale than its predecessor. Myths, supernatural occurrences, awkward moments and Perry’s rambling mind made for a page-turning listen.
