After devouring the Mercy Kilpatrick series, I was delighted to see a new series by Kendra Elliot. The Last Sister is the first book in the Columbia River series involving FBI agent Zander Wells. In a rural Oregon logger town darkness awaits in this riveting murder-mystery thriller with ties to the past.
Today I am back with the next two novellas in the Widow’s Island series by Melinda Leigh and Kendra Elliot. While each book contains a murder-mystery case, the romantic arc and overall cold case is best read in order of the novellas release dates. Grab a cup of coffee and check out my reviews.
A Merciful Promise by Kendra Elliot is the final book in the Mercy Kilpatrick series and it’s her most dangerous case yet. Grab a cup of iced coffee and see why I recommend adding this series to your reading list!
I enjoy the Mercy Kilpatrick series by Kendra Elliot and I was excited to dive into A Merciful Fate. This is the fifth novel, in the series and I was not disappointed. For me, it was the strongest murder-mystery of the series. An unsolved, thirty-year-old bank heist gave way to suspense, townie secrets and more.
Set on Widow’s Island off the Pacific Northwest. Close to the Bone by Kendra Elliot is the first of four scheduled novellas. Each book contains a murder-mystery and there is an overall arc about a missing person from twenty years ago. From the characters to the island history I quickly slipped into this series.
A Merciful Secret by Kendra Elliot is the third book of the series. Set in Oregon, it features an FBI Agent who grew up in a survivalist household. Mercy, the FBI and Police Chief Truman Daly, investigate the murder of an old woman rumored to be a witch.
A Merciful Truth by Kendra Elliot is the second novel in the Mercy Kilpatrick series featuring an FBI Agent in Bend, Oregon. Family, fires and growth made for an interesting case as we get to know the players and work to solve a mystery that has left police wives widowed.
