I giggled, sighed and thoroughly enjoyed The Sum of All Kisses, the latest installment of the Smythe-Smith Quartet series by Julia Quinn. Unique, quirky characters, wicked banter and meddling souls abound in this warm historical romance. Each of the books can be read as a standalone, but each is worth a read. Mini review: Humorous, romantic, and sweet. Quinn swept me up, and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
A Night Like This by Julia Quinn
I love a good Regency romance, and when the author adds in a little suspense and deliciously fleshed out characters the world around me fades away. A Night Like This by Julia Quinn was such a tale. Quinn delivered a wonderful story, with colorful characters and dangerous suspense that had me flipping the pages. Three word review: romantic, suspenseful and incredibly delicious.
The Lady Most Willing.. by Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, Connie Brockaway
The Lady Most Willing was a unique anthology style historical romance where there are three romances entwined in one tale and composed by three different authors. Set in 1819, Scotland at Finovair Castle; complete with men in kilts, this romantic tale was delightful, with just enough heat to keep you warm. This is the second book in the Lady Most series, but each can be read as a standalone and offer the same unique writing style.
