Embers by Laura Bickle

Embers, is the first novel in the urban fantasy series Anya Kalinczyk by Laura Bickle. The setting is Detroit and focuses on Anya Kalinczyk an arson investigator and physic medium known as a Lantern. I am delighted to inform you that Shadow of Night delivered all that I hoped for and more. Harkness brings the past to life as we travel back in time and adds new depth to the characters that I adore. I literally consumed this and cannot wait for the final novel. If I had to sum up my opinion in three words they would be; captivating, beautiful and breathtaking.

We are introduced to Mia Price in the first line of the novel.”My name is Mia Price, and I am a human lightening rod.” …
