The Christmas Cookie Collection is four delightful novellas featuring characters from Lori Wilde’s First Love Cookie Club novels. All were previously published as Christmas Cookie Chronicles and are now available in this single collection. Heart-warming tales of romance, friendship and small-town charm make each of the tales a holiday delight. Mini review: heart-warming, and romantic it offers delightful tales that allow you to curl up and escape from the hustle and bustle of the season.
Fracture Me by Tahereh Mafi
It is no secret that I have mad love for this author and the Shatter Me series. I don’t often purchase all of the side novellas for series I adore, but made exceptions for this series. Until now, I have not been disappointed. Fracture Me is told from Adam’s perspective, and it left me disappointed. Mini review: character exposed, short yet kept me on edge and advanced the overall story arc.
Kissing Under the Mistletoe by Bella Andre Narrated by Eva Kaminsky
What? Wait a minute… has Kimba over at Caffeinated Book Reviewer lost her mind? Didn’t she already review this book? Relax peeps take a sip of your cocoa I haven’t lost my mind. Thanks to audible.com I was offered a change to review the audio version of Kissing Under the Mistletoe by Bella Andre. Since I am new to the audio book world, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to compare reading vs listening.
The Sum of All Kisses by Julia Quinn
I giggled, sighed and thoroughly enjoyed The Sum of All Kisses, the latest installment of the Smythe-Smith Quartet series by Julia Quinn. Unique, quirky characters, wicked banter and meddling souls abound in this warm historical romance. Each of the books can be read as a standalone, but each is worth a read. Mini review: Humorous, romantic, and sweet. Quinn swept me up, and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
Delia’s Shadow by Jaime Lee Moyer
I love crime novels, mysteries and serial killers! Mix in supernatural elements and I am drawn to these stories like moths to a flame. Delia’s Shadow is the first novel in the Delia Martin series by Jamie Lee Moyer. Set against the historic city of San Francisco, Moyer drew me in with her easy writing style, dark descriptions and engaging characters. Mini review: Dark and suspenseful. Old school detective work with a rich plot that kept me captivated as Moyer balanced darkness with light.
