From the East Salem setting to the strange prophecies and the engaging characters, I have been enjoying the East Salem Trilogy by Lis Wiehl. I was more than a little excited to read Fatal Tide the conclusion and to see how it all turned out. Steeped in religion, evil, greed and mythological beasts this final chapter had me flippin the pages as we loomed towards the final battle. Mini review: fast-paced, edge of your seat action with a side of romance.
The Trap by Andrew Fukuda
Since the beginning, I have loved Andrew Fukuda’s twisted Hunt trilogy. His unique take on vampires in The Hunt and then the mind-bending twists of The Prey. The Trap was one of my most anticipated books for 2013 and boy howdy, Fukuda did not disappoint. The Trap was a non-stop, action packed tale, with a conclusion that once again blew my mind. Mini review: smart, spine-chilling, with intense action scenes and revelations that will leave you screaming!

Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson
Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson was an absolute blast to read. This science-fiction dystopian is a superheroes lovers dream. Villains, heroes, technological abilities and action kept me spellbound. This was a smashing beginning to the Reckoners trilogy and one I cannot wait to continue. Mini review: entertaining, and engrossing with fascinating rebels that kept me flippin’ the pages.
