Grey Sister by Mark Lawrence is the second novel in the brilliant Book of the Ancestor series and once again Lawerence transported me to the Convent of Sweet Mercy where Nona must choose her path. Captivating, well-developed and engaging Mark Lawerence is a mesmerizing and skillful storyteller.
Besieged by Kevin Hearne
As I continued my binge of the Iron Druid Chronicles, I wasn’t sure if I would grab all the novellas on audio or in fact even read them, but Besieged is a large collection and after Staked I wasn’t quite ready to leave this world or wait for the next book in April so I decided to download this collection. Brilliant, funny, sad, and interesting I delighted in these tales shared around a campfire.
Charming by Dannika Dark
Last year I devoured the Seven series by Dannika Dark, and have begun picking up the novellas to this series. Charming is a full-length standalone novel set in the world, and I decided to listen to Nicole Poole’s narration. Charming delivered a suspenseful tale, filled with mystery, a delightful romance and a touch of snark.
Gaslight by Dannika Dark
Gaslight by Dannika Dark is the fourth novel in the wildly addictive Crossbreed urban fantasy series. Narrated by Nicole Poole, Dark takes us into the world of vampire trafficking. Dark will test Raven Black, Christen Poe and the other members of Keystone in this nail-biting, heartbreaking and dangerous installment.
Wanderlust by Lauren Blakely
Chocolate, French pastries, language, and the city of love… Wanderlust by Lauren Blakely was a decedent contemporary romance filled with character growth, friendship, and love.
