The grandkids were off for spring break last week. Despite the cold weather, Sophia’s first soccer game was a blast. Unfortunately for Sophia, she spent the rest of the week sick with the flu. Aside from client work, I got little done this week. Saturday I had a eye exam and have to move to progressives. Aging sucks ya’ll. I came home after and wrote some book reviews. This week we are forecasted to break high temperature records. I say bring it. LOL Stay Caffeinated.

Oh poor Sophia! The flu is no fun but I’m glad she enjoyed her soccer game! I hope you’re having a great week!

Oh Kimberly once I got used to Progressives I love them but yes getting old sucks. Our kids here in MO all had spring break in before Easter. We’re going from heat to ac like a normal April. And I’m hanging in there thanks to all the support I’m getting.
Glad to be able to catch up a little

Rolé @ Hooked By That Book
Sounds like a good week, apart from the flu part. Hope you enjoy the rest of this week.

I hope Sophia is feeling better now. I’ve had progressives for several years and I really like them. They did take some getting used to at first, but since then they’ve been fine. However, I do still have reading glasses for reading. Finding that sweet spot in the progressives for reading books is tough. Have a great week. 🙂
Carla @CarlaLovesToRead
Isn’t it great that our temperatures are warming up. It was 79 here today. It sounds like you were busy last week with the grandkids. Have a great week, Kimberly.
Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews
I hope Sophia is doing better! I hope you get warm weather. Have a great week!

Aging may suck, but as my mother says, it beats the alternative! It’s so frustrating when it affect our eyes, though — especially as readers. I can’t handle progressives, so I now have several pairs of bifocals with different combinations of distances.
Sorry to hear Sophia had the flu. I hope she’s feeling better.
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Glad Sophia got to play a fun soccer game before she got sick. Hope she feels better soon!

Aging does suck. I wear my reading glasses to read what’s on my laptop now too when I used to only have to wear them while reading a book. Grr.
Sorry to hear the flu was going around.

Getting older does bring new sets of challenges. I went into progressives when I was 38. Fun times. I hope you have a great week and everyone stays healthy!

We gotten a bit warmer which means time for spring yard clean up. Hope your week is a great one.
Anne - Books of My Heart
I hope this week is easier for you. We are getting a few days of higher heat too.
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
Yeah, we are supposed to get the high temps where I live too. I’m not ready for summer weather! Guessing maybe running and sweating in the cooler weather wasn’t great for catching a cold. Hopefully that is gone now and this week will be a good one!

What a shame Sophia ended up with flu after her first soccer game. I hope she soon recovers. And hopefully the warm weather will help! We have had a couple of days with the temperature in the mid-60s, but this next week it’s all going to be cooler again. So long as it doesn’t rain!! Have a great week, Kimberly.
Sophia Rose
Poor Sophia, but glad she got to play her soccer game, at least. Yay for a productive week of assistant author work and review. Oooh, how apropos to get a book haul book called Totality last week. 🙂
Have a good week, Kimberly!
Sophie
I know aging sucks Kimberly! I too wear progressive for four years now! Have a great week.
Jodie @ That Happy Reader
I’m sorry that Sophia got sick – I hope she feels better soon. I hope you have a great week ahead Kimberly!
Lisa
My eye doctor keeps saying I’ll need progressives but I’ve had two appointments since then and have had had to go that route yet. I think I will next time though.

Poor Sophia. I hope she’s feeling better. My prescription hasn’t changed in the last several years. I hope it stays that way. Mom had the trifecta of eye cooties: glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. I take several vitamins to stave off the macular just in case it leans more towards hereditary. I hope you can break out the flip flops this week!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Aww! Poor Sophia! Hope she’s doing better now. It’s always a bummer to be sick during your break from school! Yeah our temps are borderline of breaking records as well! I sure hope they don’t break them though! Lol. I’m the only one rooting for a late summer here.
Ooh nice new read! I wish this series would also be in written form. I’m just not an audio reader but I love Kim Harrison so it’s really trying my resolve here! Lol. I just don’t do well with them and know I’ll miss have the story. Hope you enjoy this one!

Sorry to hear Sophia was sick this week after the soccer game, glad to hear she had fun with the soccer game at least. We had some warmer temperatures this week, but next week we’re getting cold and rain again. The weather is all over the place lately. Have a great week!
Gail
Totality looks very exciting! You guys were so lucky to have the eclipse recently. Have a good reading week.
Maree
Aw, I hope Sophia is feeling better! I had to get progressives a couple of years ago as well as my eyes seem to be aging faster than I am! I hope you have a great week.
Sara
