On Friday I pulled my back out. I do not recommend it, and if you suffer from back problems, you have my upmost sympathy. I am miserable. Of course, the grandchildren are on spring break this week. In March I read/listened to 24 books, bringing my Goodreads Challenge to 68/200, and my Audiobook Challenge to 44/125 & Library Love challenge 6/12. Stay Caffeinated.

I’m so sorry about your back! Thankfully I don’t suffer from chronic back pain but I’ve had a few injuries and there is nothing more debilitating. I love the look of The Little Flower Shop. I hope you’re able to relax and enjoy your reading.

So sorry to hear about your back. Hope you are able to sooth it quickly. Then you will have to be careful twisting and lifting for the years to come. I was diagnosed with a degenerative disc in my lower back over 20 years ago. I praise God that it rarely flares but I do have to take care.
Sounds like you had a good reading month in March. I hope you have good reading this week.

  3. Mary Kirkland

Oh no, I hope your back feels better soon. I read 4 books this week. After being in a reading slump for a while, it was good to find a few good ones to read.

I am so sorry that you pulled your back out, I hope you’re on the mend to feeling better, soon! You’ve been doing solid on your reading challenges. What was your favorite book of March?

  5. vidya

Hope you feel better soon.. so you can enjoy time with the grands..
I have A Girl Called Samson on my reading radar..and hope I can get a hold of it

  6. Anne – Books of My Heart

I had a couple back problems in my 30s and then not so much any more. It was weird but I was trying to do too much. I hope you feel much better quickly. I found icing helped initially to reduce any inflammation and later some heat. I hope things go well this week with the kids home for their break.

  7. Meezan

Oh, no…I hope your back problem is something that will heal soon and you’re able to spend time with your grandchildren while they’re home this week. Take care! 🙂

  8. Laurel-Rain Snow

Oh, I do empathize with the back problems! They are an ongoing issue for me, although lately my left knee has been giving me pain. Lots of things grab us as we get older.

Enjoy your week, and congrats on the reading.

Urg! Huge sympathy duly proffered. There isn’t much else that is as extruciatingly painful as a bad back – I hope you manage to recover from it very soon, Kimberly.

  10. Stormi

Sorry to hear about your back, back pain is the worst! I have a lot of back pain and it’s so uncomfortable. Hope it goes away quickly!

Have a great week and happy reading!

Oh no Kimberly! I’m so sorry to hear about your back. I have had this experience myself and know how uncomfortable and limiting it can be. Take care and I hope you are feeling more like yourself soon.

  12. A Voracious Reader

I’m not sure which is worse, a strained back or a severly bruised tailbone. In any case, you have my sympathy because they both suck. {{{posivibes}}} for a quick recovery.

  13. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oh no! That’s not good! My back issues were mostly related to medical issues as a child, so luckily after a surgery I haven’t had any issues with it beyond the occasional back ache which usually came from some form of overworking! Hope you recover smoothly and quickly!

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

A Girl Called Samson looks very interesting. A colonial days story, I used to like those and haven’t read that genre in a long time. Thanks for the recommend. Happy reading!

  15. Jill

Oh no! I hope you feel more yourself soon!

Very impressive on your challenges. Good luck in 2Q!

  16. Lover of Romance

oh no!! Pulling back is the worst! I have done it once. Which is why I do pilates stretching every day now haha I hope you feel better. What helps me was those icy hot patches. You should try those, within a couple of days, I was back to normal. I also grabbed up the Amy Harmon, hoping it delivers on the patriotism of the events.

  17. Sophie

OMG Kimberly I have never pulled my back out but you have all my sympathy! And with the grandkids this week that will be so hard! The only positive thing that I saw abov is that you got A Girl Called Samson and it’s an amazing read! I hope you can find consolation in that. Hugs.

  18. Lori

I am so sorry to hear about your back. My son just found out he has a broken vertebrae in his lumber region and in miserable too. I hope you feel better soon.

  19. Greg

Oh my that’s awful. Sending you vibes that you heal quickly. Take care and get lots of rest!
