We were sick this week. Wicked headaches, & congestion, Clayton had croup, and the Royals stayed home for two days, so it was quiet here and I finished the next season of the Umbrella Academy. I am resting this weekend so it does not progress. No Covid, thank goodness. Stay cool, stay healthy and Stay Caffeinated.

So sorry to hear that you have all been smitten! There are all sorts of colds, sore throats and illnesses circulating in amongst the different varieties of covid on this side of the Pond, too… I hope you all recover very soon, Kimberly. In the meantime, have a restful and bookfilled week.

Sorry to hear everyone was under the weather. That can be so frustrating.
The Law reminds me that I want to listen to another Jim Butcher book (Dresden #2) this year.
I hope you get well and enjoy some good reading!

I’m sorry to hear you all were sick! Headaches are so awful! My grandson gets croup sometimes and it’s also hard on everyone! I’m so glad you’re resting!
Thank you for your review of The Gecko Without An Echo!
    Take good care!

I am so sorry to hear that your family was sick (and its easy to forget that there are plenty of other illnesses other than covid) but hope you get back to healing and recovery this week. I hope you are having fun with COYER if you are participating this summer.

  5. Jen

Oh, I didn’t know about the new Butcher novella, thanks for the share. I’m glad you don’t have COVID, and I hope you are feeling better soon. What did you think of UA3? The Footloose scene was one of my favorite TV moments of all time.

  6. LORI CASWELL

I am so sorry you are sick, summer illness is the worst because you want to be outside having fun. I hope it passes quickly. (((hugs)))

Oh my. Take care and feel better soon. Meanwhile, happy reading and watching.

It’s always miserable to be sick! But, nice you’re not too sick to read. Hope you all get well soon. I keep meaning to read through the Dresden Files in order but ….. haven’t yet. I set the goal this year of reading Louise Penny’s series in order and am almost done with that – now that I’ve been reminded, maybe Butcher’s series is next.

Aw sorry to hear that. No fun. Glad it’s not Covid! Hope you’re having a nice, relaxing weekend, and everyone gets better soon.

    Take care

That sounds horrible. I hope everyone feels better really soon!

  11. Angela

I hope you’re all feeling better soon! Our little one had pinkeye and an ear infection last week, plus a lot of congestion, which he then gave to my husband and me, so we know how you’re all feeling! It stinks being sick in the summer!

  12. Rejitha

Getting sick sucks!! Hope you feel better soon.
Alright, I have to say that the guy on the cover of The Law looks like Indian cricketer MS Dhoni. Maybe it’s just me. But if I ever get to reading the book, that’s who will be the MC in my brain.

We’ve been ill this week too and, like you, negative for Covid. My 3 year old has discovered that he likes cough mixture…

Hope you all feel better next week.

I heard a lot of people talk about the academy. I think I’ll check it out

We wanted to finish up Stranger Things before starting Umbrella Academy. We watched the last episode last night so I’m excited to get started on UA!

I hope you all feel better soon.
