Welcome to Coffee Pot Reviews! These are short and sweet reviews done in the length of time it takes my coffee pot to brew! I read a few holiday themed novella’s and wanted to share quick “Coffee Pot Reviews” with you. Each of these can be read in a single evening and all of them are available as eBooks for under a dollar. There is something for everyone from New Adult to Paranormal.
Compromising the Marquess by Wendy Soliman
I have been on a historical fiction kick this past month, perhaps from the horror overload of reads for Things that Go bump in the Night, so when Lit’ Connect tours had sign ups for Compromising the Marquess, I jumped at the chance to review it. I am so glad that I did as this tale offered suspense, humor, busy bodies and a feisty heroine I came to adore.
Cupid’s Christmas by Bette Lee Crosby
I love Bette Lee Crosby’s books so when she approached me to review Cupid’s Christmas it was a no brainer. Cupid’s Christmas delivers a holiday tale that you will want to share with others. It reads like a made for television Hallmark Christmas special and I quickly consumed this on a cold afternoon. This is heartwarming tales that will lift your spirits and embraces the spirit of the holidays.
Audrey’s Guide to Witchcraft by Jody Gehrman
When I was approached for a review by the author of Audrey’s Guide to Witchcraft, the cover whore in me screamed, “Say yes! Say yes!” The practical (weaker) side of me said, “Calm down, let me read the synopsis! Stop jumping you’re making the words all blurry!” I distracted my inner cover whore by pointing out a shiny object and quickly read the synopsis and you can guess what our answer was. Audrey’s Guide to Witchcraft has a gorgeous cover and inside there is a terrific spell-casting, character filled tale that kept me spellbound. Witches, necromancers, swoon worthy guys and a chocolate cake with raspberries that should be illegal! This witchy tale offered a great start to a new series.
Mystic City by Theo Lawrence
I was drawn to the gorgeous cover of Mystic City and the synopsis with its promise of a dystopian world. Theo Lawrence has a new fan. I absolutely immersed myself into the world he has created and cannot wait for the next installment in this series. From his phenomenal world building, writing style and likeable characters Lawrence completely drew me in to this fantasy world laced with paranormal elements, hatred, oppression and rebellion.
