I love a good Regency romance, and when the author adds in a little suspense and deliciously fleshed out characters the world around me fades away. A Night Like This by Julia Quinn was such a tale. Quinn delivered a wonderful story, with colorful characters and dangerous suspense that had me flipping the pages. Three word review: romantic, suspenseful and incredibly delicious.
I Married the Duke by Katharine Ashe
I love a good historical romance, and when you add in suspense and a little mystery I begin to drool. I Married the Duke is the first in the Prince Catchers series by Katherine Ashe and from the very first pages I was enthralled. Three charming, orphaned sisters, and a prophecy ensures this series will be a delight. Three word review: romantic, suspenseful with delightfully flawed characters.
Run To You by Rachel Gibson
Run to You by Rachel Gibson is a standalone contemporary romance and the second novel in her Military Men series. Grab your cowboy boots, and get ready to enjoy this sweet little tale with smexy retired Marine Beau Junger. Three word review: humorous, romantic and full of Texas charm.
Coffee Pot Reviews: I Dream of Danger by Lisa Marie Rice & Love and Other Scandals by Caroline Linden
Welcome to Coffee Pot Reviews! These are short and sweet reviews done in the length of time it takes my coffee pot to brew! I have two Avon books to share with you today. One features a group of super-elite soldiers and the other is a Regency romance that is sure to please. Grab a cup of coffee, tea or some mango punch, sit back and enjoy!
The Trouble with Being a Duke by Sophie Barnes
I have always loved Cinderella and The Trouble with Being A Duke offers us a delightful twist on the tale. This is the first book in the Kingsboro Ball series. Barnes delivered an engaging tale with lovable characters and I am looking forward to reading more of her work. Three word review: enchanting, romantic with some humor.
