While admittedly I was never a comic book fan, I do like watching the Marvel movies and picked this up because I wanted to see the world Seanan McGuire imagined. What If… Wanda Maximoff and Peter Parker Were Siblings? was a fast-paced story with plenty of heart, action and two of my favorite Marvel characters.
The Life Impossible: A Novel by Matt Haig
I loved The Midnight Library and was eager to listen to Matt Haig’s newest novel, The Impossible Life. In this story filled with magical realism, we travel with retired math teacher Grace Winters to the island of Ibiza as she searches for answers about her lost friend. An intriguing tale filled with wonder and hope.
Darkside by Michael Mammay
Sophia Rose is here with a review of Darkside by Michael Mammay, a standalone story in the Planetside series. Come see why Sophia recommends this for readers of sci-fi mysteries, thrillers, and military space operas.
We Solve Murders by Richard Osman
We Solve Murders the first audiobook in a new series by Richard Osman was one of my most anticipated releases in 2024. Osman did not disappoint. We Solve Murders delivered colorful characters, an intriguing mystery and plenty of action as we traipsed the globe.
A Lethal Betrayal by Lori Matthews
I love a good romantic suspense and grabbed A Lethal Betrayal, the first Coast Guard Hawai’i audiobook written by Lori Matthews and narrated by Sofia Willingham and Wyeth Watts. A US Coast Guard Chief Petty officer and his team are tasked with finding out who stole top secret tech while a Coast Guard Investigative Service Special Agent hunts the killer. Sparks, suspense and plenty of action delivered an exciting start to the series.
