The Oversight by Charlie Fletcher

The Oversight by Charles Fletcher is his first foray into adult fiction and a superb one. Beautifully atmospheric with multiple perspectives I quickly became spellbound as Simon Prebble delivered the narrative. The Oversight offers a fascinating and complex world as Fletcher weaves you into its pages.

Blood Magick by Nora Roberts

Blood Magick is the final book in the Cousins of O’Dwyer trilogy and I was anxious for Branna and Finn’s story almost as much as seeing if the witches would finally end the evil that haunts them. Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews

Magic Burns the second book in the Kate Daniels series has solidified this audio series as a favorite. While still gritty, Andrews’ added depth smoothed out some of the rougher aspects and endeared me to Kate. If you have not tried the Kate Daniels series, I urge you to do so. Magic Burns is fresh and original with a storyline and characters that will have you casting the real world aside and losing yourself within its pages!

Sweet Cowboy Christmas by Candis Terry

It is no secret that I love Candis Terry’s Sweet, Texas series. Cowboys, family, and a sweet romance make this series delightful. Terry makes it all the sweeter with her small-town Texas, setting. Therefore, it only makes sense that I had to add Sweet Cowboy Christmas to my Ho-Ho-Ho read-a-thon reads. I am so glad that I did. Chase and Faith were sweet, and despite it being, a novella Terry gave us a sweet slow-building romance.

Home for the Holidays by Rochelle Alers

When I saw the cover of Home for the Holidays, I accepted it without even reading the blurb. Have I mentioned my weakness for holiday themed covers and stories? Turns out this novella is part of the Cavanaugh Island series by Rochelle Alers. Thankfully, it worked beautifully as a standalone and turned out to be a foodie book complete with recipes! Score!
