Blackout is the fifth novel in the Crossbreed urban fantasy series by Dannika Dark. Narrated by Nicole Poole I quickly devoured this audio. From a suspenseful assignment to characters that stole a piece of my heart Dark delivered.
Ruth Ware has become a must listen author here at Caffeinated. Imogen Church has narrated all her novels. Her accent and tone blend perfectly with Ware’s mystery thrillers. The Death of Mrs. Westaway was a twisted, gothic tale where the characters and subtle tones slowly reveal what we the reader had feared. An atmospheric and addictive whodunit!

With her husband away, Lady Anne of Develish along with her serfs take drastic measures to ensure their safety. Isolation, discord and danger made for a clever tale.
