I tend to be an eclectic reader and often follow my moods. After several reviews from fellow bloggers, I began the School for Dukes series by Lenora Bell and dove headfirst into What a Difference a Duke Makes. I had the most splendid time with this hero and feisty heroine.
River Bodies by Karen Katchur is the first novel in the Northampton County mystery series. Multiple POVs, childhood flashbacks and a suspenseful buildup provided an entertaining mystery in Portland, Pennsylvania, a small river town that borders New Jersey, where neighbors keep their heads down and look the other way.
A Bone to Pick by Melinda Leigh is the second novella in the Widow’s Island mystery suspense series written with author Kendra Elliot. We are back on Widow’s Island and this time the focus is on Deputy Tessa Black. When an artistic newcomer is found dead, Tessa along with the help of Park Ranger Logan Wilde search for a murderer on the island.
Set on Widow’s Island off the Pacific Northwest. Close to the Bone by Kendra Elliot is the first of four scheduled novellas. Each book contains a murder-mystery and there is an overall arc about a missing person from twenty years ago. From the characters to the island history I quickly slipped into this series.
Death Masks by Jim Butcher is the fifth audio in the Dresden Files. When life seems to good..you know trouble is coming and that is just what Harry finds, as Marsters rocks the narration.
