I love a deliciously good Regency romance, wrapped in mystery with lovable characters and a feisty heroine and Taming Her Forbidden Earl delivered just that and more. The first in the Lady Lancaster Garden Society series Hemmerling had me laughing, sighing and completely wrapped up in this fast paced tale.
White Horse is the first novel in the White Horse trilogy and shares the beginning of a post-apocalyptic dystopian world and its downfall. It is dark, gritty, and eerily real. Adam shares with us the many facets of man at his best and worst. She immediately captured my attention with her riveting world-building and her raw, fleshed out characters. This tale immediately made me think of the Passage by John Cronin and the awesomeness I felt while embarking on that journey. Within the first few pages I knew I had in my hands a novel I would not soon forget.
I was looking for a good Urban Fantasy after my self-induced historical romance marathon and when Entangled Publishing asked me if I would review Cathy Yardley’s Temping is Hell I was immediately intrigued by the synopsis. This was a fun, smexy action packed tale and the terrific start of a new series. I easily became caught up in the characters, the secrets and the hilarious, feisty, Thelma & Louise protagonist.
I am so glad that I had a chance to read ‘Til the World Ends and recommend it to fans of dystopian and post-apocalyptic worlds.
The Drowning House by Elizabeth Black is a stunning debut novel with its eloquently almost poetic writing style and in-depth look into the people dwelling within the small exclusive beach community of Galveston, Texas. I was quickly drawn in by the characters and Black’s lyrical descriptions.
