It is no secret that I am a Nora Roberts fan. The Obsession her newest romantic suspense standalone encompasses all the things that make her a New York Times bestselling author. A strong suspenseful story nestled around a swoon-worthy romance with characters you will want to call friends. Brilliant from begin to end The Obsession was addictive.
Wild Man’s Curse by Susannah Sandlin
Wild Man’s Curse by Susannah Sandlin is the first in her new Wilds of the Bayou series. Set deep within the Louisiana Bayou in the swamps of Whiskey Bayou a voodoo priestess is murdered and from the first page, Sandlin hooked me. Suspenseful, with engaging characters, a curse, and the quirkiness of the bayou Wild Man’s Curse delivered a page-turner.
Waylaid by Kim Harrison
Waylaid by Kim Harrison is a fun smash-up of Rachelle Morgan of the Hollows and Peri Reed of the Drifters. Harrison calls it a fan fiction and this short delivered a fun, quick read for fans of the series.
What We Find by Robyn Carr
What We Find by Robyn Carr is the first novel in the Sullivan’s Crossing series. Carr delivered a beautiful novel about love, family, loss and finding one’s self. Set against the trails of Colorado I quickly became wrapped up in the characters. What We Find had characters and banter that reminded me of early Virgin River books.
Nobody But You by Jill Shalvis
Psst…. Until Nobody But Me, I had never read a Jill Shalvis book. *blinks* I know crazy right. Peeps kept telling me how wonderful her books were. So yes, I jumped in on book three of the Cedar Ridge books. Sometimes you just have to take the plunge. Nobody But You was a delicious book to try with swoon-worthy characters are just the right amount of heat.
