Today I am sharing books in a series. Torn by Melanie Karsak and Finding Amy by Julieann Dove are the final books in their series and were full of surprises. Witch Wood by Melanie Karsak is a novella in the Harvesting series, a zombie infested fantasy series I have come to love. It is highly original with magic and twists that keep me flipping the pages and eager for more. Witch Wood is also the first in the Witching Collection and at first; I wondered how it would tie into the Harvesting world. All I can say is that it does and it is bloody brilliant.
After loving Harvesting, I was excited to begin The Shadow Aspect by Melanie Karsak, the second novel in her Harvesting series. Karsak perfectly blends fantasy and horror creating a tantalizing, nail-biting story that kept me on edge.
Midway is a novella in the Harvesting series by Melanie Karsak and the perfect little hold me over till the release of book two, The Shadow Aspect, coming in 2015. While characters are familiar to those who have read The Harvesting, book one it is something anyone can enjoy.
When I finished this book I just sat back with my mouth hanging open and basked in its glow. Labeled as horror or zombie book, The Harvesting is so much more. Karsak has blended lore, paranormal creatures and fantasy into this post-apocalyptic zombie infested world. The tale is gripping and I became completely enthralled. This may very well be one of my top ten reads for 2013 and I cannot wait for the next book.
