Riven is the third book in the Lost Imperial series by Tyler Jolley and Sherry D. Ficklin. Riven mirrors the timeline of Prodigal and offered an intense ride. This tale focuses on Ethan and his story held me spellbound from the mysterious Stills to rifting in the future.
Clean Sweep by writing duo Ilona Andrews is the first in the Innkeeper Chronicles series and once again, I chose to listen with narrator Renee Raudman. A cross between science fiction and urban fantasy Clean Sweep was an absolute blast on audio.
Do you ever start reading or listening to a book and almost immediately slip into the world and realize you are about to take an epic journey? That was my experience with the audio version of Lock In, the first book in the Lock In series by John Scalzi and narrated by Wil Wheaton. Lock In is a brilliantly told mystery crime thriller set in a futuristic science fiction world. The geek in me was completely giddy! The world was fascinating, frighteningly realistic and friggin cool my friends.

From the depths below Mar’s surface to the hills of Olympus; Brown melded science-fiction, complex characters and outstanding world-building in this tale that left me spent and begging for more.
