I love the Red Rising Saga and Light Bringer by Pierce Brown was one of my most anticipated books/audiobooks. Brown did not disappoint, and I listened as I read along. This series and these characters bring forth every emotion. The story left me spent and eager for the next novel. Check out my thoughts.
Narrated by Lauren Fortgang, James Fouhey, and Max Roll, Only Good Enemies by Jennifer Estep continues the sci-fi romantic fantasy series, Galactic Bonds. Grab an iced mocha and see why I enjoyed this audio.
Capture the Sun by Jessie Mihalik is the last book in the Starlight Shadow’s trilogy and brings us Lexi & Nilo’s story. Along the way there will be delicious heat, rescues, danger and more. Buckle up for takeoff…
Narrate by Desireé Ketchum, the Guardian of Shadows by Michelle Manus is the second audiobook in the Nyx Fortuna series. Nyx is the Guardian of Between Earth’s station and assists intergalactic travelers. She is also harboring fugitives, dealing with the Harvester of Worlds and has an ex she is avoiding. In search of answers, she, along with her motley group of friends, travel to the forbidden Shadow Market. What could go wrong?
The Ferryman by Justin Cronin was one of my most anticipated releases in 2023. I am a huge fan of his Passage trilogy and was excited to slip into this science fiction fantasy. While quite different from his previous works, Cronin takes us to a utopian world where all is not as it seems. With twists and surprises, I found myself caught up in the Ferryman’s fate.
The Hopkins Manuscript by R. C. Sherriff is a classic novel originally published in 1939. I grabbed this end of days audiobook in part because of narrator Nicholas Boulton. I stayed for the gripping, amusing & touching story that unfolded. Grab a cup of tea and travel to the small English village of Beadle, where Edgar resides….I promise you won’t regret it.
Narrated by Kristine Hvam, Junkyard War by Faith Hunter is the third audiobook in the Junkyard Cats featuring Shining Smith. This post-apocalyptic science fiction series has been a favorite. Shining Smith is seeking retribution, and she’s willing to die to get it.
I had Square³ by Mira Grant in my TBR pile, but jumped at the chance to listen to the novella narrated by Rachel F. Hirsch. Grant shares a science fiction tale that will grab you from the first chapter.
