It’s that time of year again, where I pull my hair out trying to select my top ten adult reads. As many of you know I read adult fiction in many genres, making my task incredibly difficult. Below is the list, I complied and you will notice all are not five cup of coffee reviews, but each book was memorable. 2014 was quite the year with favorite series ending and new to me author. Earlier this year I read and enjoyed the first novel in the Mind’s Eye series about psychic detectives Levi Wolf and Trudy Tucker. In Through His Touch, their relationship continues to grow as someone is killing off women in Levi’s life. Heavy on romance and Levi and Trudy’s romance this romantic paranormal suspense was engaging with fleshed out characters.
So I ordered Sixth Grave on the Edge by Darynda Jones the moment it was available for pre-order and cracked this puppy open when it downloaded at 2 am. *SQUEE!* I read the first chapter, hugged my Nook and went to bed. Just knowing Charley, Reyes and Cookie were there for me in the AM, caused delicious dreams. To say I love this series just does not seem enough and while there will be no spoilers in my review, there may be some major fangirling and some fantastic quotes!
