Genevieve Cogman vivid imagination continues to enchant me in The Lost Plot, the fourth book in the Invisible Library series. Dragons, betrayal and multiple identities lead to interesting events as Librarian Irene Winters looks to thwart an attempt that may have dire consequences for the library. Every spoken word counts in The Lost Plot delivering non-stop action and entertainment.
A brilliant suspense thriller, The Chalk Man, written by C.J. Tudor and narrated by Euan Morton was both thriller and mystery. The Chalk Man is Tudor’s debut novel, and I get chills just thinking about her next book. The story that unfolded had a beautiful, addictive flow that allowed the listeners to step into the story and lose themselves.

A Victorian-era cozy mystery involving a cook. How could I resist? Death Below Stairs by Jennifer Ashley is the first in the Kat Holloway series and offered a delightful, murder mystery with unexpected twists and a bright young heroine.
I was very excited to begin Year One by Nora Roberts. Early reports stated this would be different from her usual paranormal romances and indeed Roberts delivers an epic fantasy with an urban vibe in the first novel of the Chronicles of The One. Lore, a post-apocalyptic setting, visions, magic, and prophecy will pull the reader in as we travel with several groups of characters. Narrated by the talented Julia Whelan, I devoured Year One on audio and cannot wait for the next one.
Every Dog Has His Day by Jenn McKinlay is the third novel in the Bluff Point Romance series. A kitten named Chaos, two adorable little girls and a well-developed, slow-burning romance left me grinning from ear to ear. Grab a cup of cocoa and check out my coffee dates with this delightful, heartwarming romance….
Jayne Ann Krentz delivered a gripping romantic suspense that is sure to delight old and new fans. Promise Not to Tell is the second novel in the Cutler, Sutter & Salinas series but will work as a standalone. Complex characters, a cult, hidden key, and murder kept me up into the wee hours hoping for a happily ever after.
