Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Ugly Love is a clever, clever tale Colleen Hoover! I was delighted to receive a copy of the audio version of Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover narrated by Deacon Lee and Grace Grant along with Elizabeth Louise. The tale Hoover weaves takes place in both the past and the present. Love isn’t always pretty, in fact sometimes it’s an ugly love, but it makes your heart flip all the same. I laughed, giggled and cried. Tears of joy, tears of sadness complete with hiccups. Ugly Love is a story you will not want to miss and one that will stay with you.

Sisters’ Fate by Jessica Spotswood

After the jaw-dropping cliffhanger in Star Cursed, I was anxious to dive into Sisters’ Fate the final Cahill Witch Chronicles novel by Jessica Spotswood. What a nail-biting journey this has been as we followed three sisters, all witches, prophesied about living in one of the most oppressive periods. Sisters’ Fate was gripping, dark, and at times pulled on the reader’s heartstrings but it was equally powerful and uplifting.

The Witch With No Name by Kim Harrison

My journey with the Hollows series by Kim Harrison has been one of pure joy and maybe a few head-bashing moments. Watching Rachel grow, crying over lost characters and going from loathing an elf to loving him; I took a moment to reminisce over all of the heart-stopping moments and those times where my opinions and affections changed. It has been one hell of a ride, sometimes exhausting, sometimes filled with tears, but always a truly fantastic escape from reality. I was beyond ecstatic when Harper Voyager sent me a finished copy of the final book in the series; Witch With No Name. The hardcover is beautiful and I adored the little butterflies topping each chapter. I was both sad and excited to begin this final novel with Rachel Morgan our beloved day-walking demon and Harrison delivered in spades!

This action packed paranormal suspense series has a unique twist on vampires and immortals with heated swoon-worthy romances. In Night Unbound, we get Zach and Lisette’s story wrapped in danger and a strengthening of the Immortal Guardians.
