I have enjoyed Sherry D. Ficklin’s previous novels; Extracted and Losing Logan, so I was very excited to read Queen of Someday. The cover is beautiful and when I discovered the setting was Imperial Russia I knew I had to read it. Queen of Someday was wonderful, and I quickly slipped into this world froth with danger and romance. Sophie is an amazing, kick-ass heroine who transforms in this novel, and I cannot wait to return in the next novel.
The Betrayed by Heather Graham
The Betrayed by Heather Graham is another exciting murder mystery laced with paranormal elements in the Krewe of Hunters series. Each book works well as a standalone and offers a mystery with a side dish of romance. The Betrayed offers a chilling murder mystery in Sleepy Hollow and is perfect for as a Fall read. I loved the history, ghost and creepy murder setting. The romance was low heat with a slow build.

Once Bitten by Kalayna Price
I snagged the audio version of Once Bitten by Kalayna Price when it was a daily deal, and I quite enjoyed this urban fantasy. Filled with vampires, shifters, hidden realms, overseers and colorful characters I quickly slipped into the world. While I still have many questions and want more depth from the characters I was intrigued.
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty narrated by Caroline Lee was an audiobook I simply devoured. Moriarty takes us into suburbia, parenting, playground politics and shares with us what happens behind the closed doors of several families homes. It was a captivating mystery leading up to a school function that had the police questioning everyone. Riveting, funny, sad, and thought-provoking Big Little Lies held me spellbound.
