Cowboys for Christmas, Yea-Ha! I was looking for some Christmas themed novels and stumbled across this collection of stories by Liz Talley, Kim Law and Terri Osburn. They are all new to me authors, but I loved the small-town Texas setting and the fact that all three short stories were tied together. Moreover, there was a promise of Cowboys. Cowboys for Christmas, was a sweet, feel good tale. Filled with small-town charm, best friends and swoon-worthy cowboys it is the perfect holiday treat.
The Whispers: A Whispers Story by Lisa Unger
The Whispers is the first of the three novellas and a prequel to the full-length novel Fragile by Lisa Unger. In the Whispers, we meet Eloise Montgomery and learn how she developed her psychic gift. Unger writes a gripping tale that immediately warms you to the protagonist. Her visions make you shiver.
All Good Deeds by Stacy Green
All Good Deeds, is the first in a new series starring kick-ass heroine Lucy Kendall. Discouraged by the constraints of law enforcement and bureaucracy, former child social worker Lucy Kendall is now a private investigator with a secret. Intense and well-crafted All Good Deeds will have you flipping the pages as we hunt for a child abductor in the sleazy underbelly of the city.
The Day the Dead Came to Show and Tell by Mira Grant
The Day the Dead Came to Show and Tell by Mira Grant offers us another glimpse of life post-rising that occurred in her Newflesh Trilogy. I am not a huge fan of novellas but Grant tells a complete story and this triolgy is one of my all time favorites so I make sure to read each one. I have yet to be disappointed, in fact I only crave more!
Intrusion by Charlotte Stein
Intrusion is the first in the series Under the Skin by Charlotte Stein. I began reading this knowing very little about this novella other than it was an erotic contemporary. Stein delivered an intriguing story with mystery, suspense, heat and two endearing and damaged souls.
