am a huge Cecy Robson fan and love her Weird Girls series, so I was excited to try her debut in the new adult genre with Once Perfect. Once Perfect is the first in the Shattered Past series, and while I connected to the characters and rooted for them, aspects left me craving more.
Ruining Mr. Perfect by Marie Harte
I love the McCauley Brothers series by Marie Harte and Ruining Mr. Perfect gave us Cameron, the youngest McCauley’s story, along with a few side stories that gave it a small-town vibe. From page one Harte grabbed me, and I devoured this as I laughed, sighed and crossed my fingers. If you haven’t tried this series yet, I highly recommend it to fans of BROTHERS, *yummy brothers*, small-town feels, family and just the right amount of heat.
Broken by Laura Wright
Yeehah! We are back on the Cavanaugh ranch with Broken, the second book in the Cavanaugh Brothers series by Laura Wright. While each book deals with one of the yummy brothers, there is an unsolved murder mystery threaded throughout this series. Because of that I recommend the books are read in order. Broken focuses on James Cavanaugh the horse whisper and Sheridan O’Neil. The two met in a rainstorm in book one, and the sparks were electric.
A Good Marriage by Stephen King
I was excited to obtain a copy of the audio version of A Good Marriage by Stephen King. The story originally published in the anthology Full Dark, No Stars. It is being released as a standalone in preparation for the motion picture release. A Good Marriage was dark and suspenseful. It will leave the reader asking, “How well do I know my significant other?’’
Burying Water by K.A. Tucker
Burying Water is the first novel in the Burying Water series by K. A. Tucker and fans of her Ten Tiny Breathes series will not be disappointed. Tucker weaves in a little mystery, memory loss, and romance then drops them in a rural Oregon countryside with horses, and an ornery old woman who will steal your heart.
