Revenant is the ninth and final book in the Greywalker series by Kat Richardson. I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey with Harper and Quintin. Richardson’s urban fantasy series was fresh and the cases fascinated me. For fans of the series, Revenant offered closure as well as an exciting case that had us rushing around Europe.
Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews
OMG..I am finally up-to-date with the Kate Daniels’ series and have now joined the ranks of fans waiting for more! Magic Breaks about blew my mind. As ya’ll know I am listening to the audio books narrated by the fabulous Renée Raudman. In the audio edition, we get a message from the author(s) as we have reached a pivotal point in the arc plot. I was glad since this almost read like the final book and that my friends would have been awful. Mind blowing, action packed and a superb example of the brilliance that comprises this writing duo I was left spent and wordless.
Omens by Kelley Armstrong
Do you ever let a book sit in your TBR pile and then kick yourself when you finally read it? If you are a book buying, one-click addict like me, I am sure you can relate. Omens by Kelley Armstrong was one such book. I bought it around release and finally picked it up for Take Control. I am so glad that I did. I enjoy Armstrong’s books and Omens the first in her Cainsville series combines mystery and subtle paranormal elements. I was completely hooked from the superstitions to the town of Cainsville.
Maybe Not by Colleen Hoover
Ya’ll know I usually skip all the prequels and novellas between books with very few exceptions, but after reading and loving Maybe Someday –I just had to have Warren and Bridgette’s story. Thus I picked up Maybe Not by Colleen Hoover. I am so glad I did because- Warren, Warren, Warren. The man is hilarious, sweet, and yeah ridiculously swoon-worthy.
Come to Me Recklessly by A.L. Jackson
Come to Me Recklessly is the third book in the Closer to You series by A. L. Jackson and while it will work as a standalone. I recommend reading them in order. Jackson has taken us on quite the ride and I was anxious for Christopher Moore’s story. It has been obvious throughout the series that Christopher is avoiding painful issues of the heart and in Come to Me, his past meets his present. The tale was emotional, heartwarming and bittersweet. Despite a personal hurdle for me, I enjoyed Come to Me Recklessly and all of its feels.
