Bringing Home the Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon is one of those sweet, sexy, shed a tear, heart-skip-a-beat, fall in love and swoon type of romance. It’s the kind of story you cannot set down. From the characters to the setting I slipped into this second chance romance every chance I could.
Firefight by Brandon Sanderson
Firefight is the second book in the Reckoners series by Brandon Sanderson. I began reading this series, but after listening to the short story, Mitosis, I decided to switch formats. MacLeod Andrews does an awesome job of bringing the characters, particular David to life. If Superheroes and villains make you grin, then you will enjoy the post-apocalyptic world Sanderson has created.
The Great Zoo of China by Matthew Reilly
The Great Zoo of China is an intense thriller with over the top scenes and high body count. It was in a word, awesome. Fans of thrillers and science fiction who can overlook the improbability of it all will love the action, characters and creepy intelligence of the spectacular creatures Reilly introduces.
Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead
I have been on a bit of an urban fantasy binge and thanks to my new audio addiction; I have finally begun checking series off my tbr pile and wish list. I owned Succubus Blues but upgraded to the audio and I loved Elisabeth Rodgers narrative. Succubus Blues was fun, with an interesting cast of characters and a mysterious murder mystery. Georgina Kincaid is inquisitive, unique and a coffee lover. I have a feeling we are going to be friends.
If the Viscount Falls by Sabrina Jeffries
If the Viscount Falls is the fourth and final, book in Sabrina Jeffries Duke’s Men series. Finally, we get Dominick Manton story and with it we get second chance romance, a little mystery and updates on previous characters. Jeffries kept me engaged as I hoped for happily ever after.
