Did you ever start a book and know within moments that you were going to become swept up in the characters and world? This is what happened with Cold Burn of Magic the first in Jenifer Estep’s new Black Blade urban fantasy series. I devoured this tale, found a new author to love and added another urban fantasy to my must read list.
I chose to review Voice in the Wind after meeting the author Judy Bruce. Judy is a fellow Nebraskan and has a passion for reading, writing and her family. In Voices in the Wind, she takes us on a young woman’s journey of loss, betrayal, discover and love. Set in Nebraska I enjoyed watching her transformation, and seeing the familiar Nebraskan landscape. With a touch of spiritual awareness, Megan’s story will capture the reader.
Funny story, I never intended to read A Shattered Moment by Tiffany King the first in her Fractured Lives series. I accidentally accepted it for review and thought-here, we go another New Adult with drama. Then I took a closer look at the synopsis, grabbed a box of truffles, a glass of wine and settled in. Guess What! I absolutely adored this touching story of overcoming, pain, loss, love and growth. I could not put it down and tip my hat to King for offering a new adult contemporary with depth and characters who will steal your heart.
