Garden of Lies by Amanda Quick offered up a historical romance wrapped in a murder mystery filled with twist, turns and plenty of heat.
The Warrior’s Prize by Claire Delacroix
The Warrior’s Prize by Claire Delacroix is the fourth and last book in the True Loves Brides series. Once again, I chose to listen to the audiobook narrated by the lovely Saskia Maarleveld. Her lilt is perfect for the narration and her voice just pulls me into this story. The Warrior’s Prize ended up being my favorite book in the series.
The Bride Behind the Curtain by Darcie Wilde
The Bride Behind the Curtain by Darcie Wilde is the first in the Regency Makeover a trilogy surrounding Helene Fitzgerald, Madelene Valmeyer, and Adele Edmundson. Three women have no intention of remaining wallflowers. Aided by the notorious novelist, Deborah Sewell, they form the Wallflower Pact. The Bride Behind the Curtain introduces us to Adele and I found it to be a quick, delightful introduction to the trilogy.
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
Jojo Moyes has been an author on my wish list forever it seems. When I saw trailers popping up for the movie Me Before You (trailers that I did not watch, because, well spoilers darling) I decided it was time to read Me Before You. After listening to a sample of the audio, I knew I had to listen. Quirky, romantic, heartbreaking and thought-provoking I devoured Me Before You.
Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs
Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs is the ninth book in the Mercy Thompson series. I love slipping into these tales and have become attached to the characters within. Fire Touched was a delightful installment and reminded me of earlier books in the series. Plot driven, intense and captivating I devoured every word.
