Mercury Striking is the first novel in Rebecca Zanetti Scorpius Syndrome series an intense post-apocalyptic romantic suspense that I devoured. Zanetti is an author I have been meaning to try and when I saw this was a new series in a post-apocalyptic setting, I knew it was fate. Action packed, with strong alpha males and snarky, intelligent women Zanetti started this series off with a bang.
The Marriage Contract by Katee Robert
The Marriage Contract written by Katee Robert and narrated by Charlotte North drew me in with the promise of an Irish Mob family in Boston. The series will center on three crime families, the O’Malley’s, Sheridan’s, and Holloran’s. After listening to The Marriage Contract I fully intend to continue this series on audio.
Alone in the Wind by Judy Bruce
Alone in the Wind by Judy Bruce is the second novel in her Wind series. Bruce shares the misadventures of Megan Docket, a lawyer and self-professed snoop. Set against the landscape of rugged, rural Western Nebraska, Bruce combines mystery, character growth and suspense into this small-town series. If you love a cozy but want a mystery with kick, Bruce is an author to try.
Unraveled by Jennifer Dawson
Unraveled by Jennifer Dawson is a novella in the Undone series. Dawson brings us substance, as this is a lengthier novella at one hundred and thirty-nine pages. While I loved seeing the previous couples, it was Ruby and Chad that left me craving more.
Forgotten Promises by Jessica Lemmon
Forgotten Promises by Jessica Lemmon is book #1.5 in her Lost Boys series. Forgotten Promises offers a heart-breaking story with a flawed, damaged hero who will anger you and have you wanting to heal him all in the same breath. Lemmon continues to amazing me with her unique storylines.
