Darkness Dawns by Dianne Duvall is the first book in the Immortal Guardians paranormal romantic suspense series. I actually came to this series with Darkness Rises, book four, and have since read five, and six. It was good going back to the beginning. Darkness Dawns was a hot, action-packed story that delivered the perfect escape read.

Deceptions by Kelley Armstrong

Deceptions by Kelley Armstrong, is the third book in her urban fantasy series Cainsville. Filled with Fae, omens and suspense I have come to love this series. It has an old mystery flair to it that reminds me of thrillers from my childhood. Deceptions suffered from middle book syndrome but had bits I thoroughly enjoyed.

The One You Want by Gena Showalter is book 0.5 in the Original Heartbreakers series. I listened to the story narrated by Savannah Richards. I loved the small-town setting and concept, but The One You Want felt too over the top and ended up falling short for me.

Creeptastic is the first thought that comes to mind when thinking about The Visitor, the latest novel in Amanda Stevens’ urban fantasy series the Graveyard Queen. The Visitor was impressive from the spine tingling mystery to developments in the overall ARC. Stevens sent chills down my spine as she drew me into the world of Amelia Gray.
