The subject matter of Aftermath is upsetting but I received a copy in the mail and decided to try it. I am really glad that I did. While relevant, it takes a look at the families affected by school shooting and shares the friendship between a shooter’s sister and the brother of a victim. Armstrong added a suspenseful thread and sweet romance to the story making it a worthy read.
Storm Front written by Jim Butcher and narrated by James Marsters introduced the world and the wizard, Harry Dresden, as he solved a murder mystery that everyone thinks he committed.
In Magic for Nothing by Seanan McGuire, it is the youngest Price sibling’s story! An undercover operation and a gig at the Circus made for a daring adventure. A shifter monkey and a ruthless cousin added interests and intrigue.
Unleashing Magick by Debbie Cassidy is the fourth and final novel in the Witch Blood Chronicles. Narrated by Zehra Jane Naqvi Cassidy delivered an intense final installment as Carmella and her friend’s face of a Cosmic God.
