My friend Dave, recommended Jacob T. Marley to me and I quickly added it to my wish-list. Then, a Goodreads group that I belong to chose it as their December Book of the Month. This was all the excuse I needed; so I purchased the eBook version of it. I am a huge fan of Dickens and was immediately intrigued by the synopsis. I am happy to report that this book was simply delightful. Bennett does a remarkable job of emanating Dickens and offers us a fresh tale about Scrooge’s partner Marley

Spiritus by Dana Michelle Burnett
Spiritus is the first book in an exciting new young adult, paranormal series, by author Dana Michelle Burnett. I enjoyed this suspenseful and romantic read. I loved the characters Burnett created and the history of the home she placed them in. Spiritus is the type of book that captures your attention from page one, while the rest of the world slips away.
The Shade and the Nine Lower Levels by Tannis Skye
The Shade and the Nine Lower Levels is a dark urban fantasy with supernatural elements. It started off slow for me and left me with unanswered questions. The story line is unique and I look forward to reading more in this series. This novel has vampires, demons, angels, hellions and a new creature called a Shade.
The Wedding Gift by Kathleen McKenna
When I first saw the cover and read the synopsis for The Wedding Gift, I was immediately intrigued. I love a suspenseful tale with haunted houses and ghosts. The beginning started off rocky for me but by the end I was glad I had read this shocking, humorous mystery.
