Romance stars Lisa Kleypas, Lorraine Heath, Megan Frampton, and Vivienne Lorret prove in this collection of stories that love is the most magical during Christmas…

I Will by Lisa Kleypas
To be reinstated into his father’s will, Andrew, Lord Drake, must court a respectable woman-his friend’s spinster sister, Miss Caroline Hargreaves. After he blackmails Caroline into helping him, the charade begins-but is it really a charade once love takes hold of their hearts…?

Deck the Halls With Love by Lorraine Heath
Alistair Wakefield, the Marquess of Chetwyn, devastated Lady Meredith Hargreaves when he proposed to another. But when he becomes free to pursue her, it’s too late for she’s on her way to the altar….. As Christmas approaches, Chetwyn vows to lure Lady Meredith back into his arms.

No Groom at the Inn by Megan Frampton
James Archer detests his mother’s matchmaking ways. When ordered to attend a Christmastime house party filled with simpering maidens, he produces a fiancée-Lady Sophronia Bettesford. James and Sophronia pretend to be in love for one month. But their pact soon turns into love.

The Duke’s Christmas Wish by Vivienne Lorret
To the Duke of Vale, science solves everything-even marriage. When the impulsive Ivy Sutherland makes him question all of his data, he realizes that he’s overlooked a vital component in his search for the perfect match: love.

Holiday historical ROMANCE Speedy Read

Fans of historical fiction will want to grab the delightful anthology, A Christmas to Remember by Lisa Kleypas, Lorraine Heath, Megan Frampton and Vivienne Lorret. I devoured these stories set at Christmas and had a good time with them all.

Don’t laugh but I read this during the 2017 #HoHoHoRAT, and it was the first post I scheduled for 2018 on the blog.

  • I Will by Lisa Kleypas- This was a fun romp featuring an almost on the shelf heroine and a devilish rogue who hatches a scheme to fool his dying father but pretending to mend his ways and date a bluestocking. Andrew, Lord Drake blackmails enters an arrangement with his friend’s sister, Miss Caroline Hargreaves. The tale that unfolds softens us to Andrew as we see Caroline bloom. A fun tale that kept me reading and offered tender moments, delightful banter and a few knots.
  • Deck the Halls With Love by Lorraine Heath-  I was a tad concerned at first since the heroine appeared to be engaged, but Heath soon had me at ease. This was a short, sweet, feel-good romance set at Christmas that left me smiling. Both the hero and heroine were likable, and I rather liked the outcome.
  • No Groom at the Inn by Megan Frampton-  A scientific Duke believes he has the formula for finding a spouse, that is until he meets Ivy. Humor, inventions, frogs, and swoons made this a delightful story. I loved all the holiday details and talk of social ladders.

A Christmas to Remember is a great way to enjoy favorite authors or perhaps try a few new ones this holiday season. Grab a cup of cocoa and enjoy.

Christmas to Remember by Lisa Kleypas, Lorraine Heath, Megan Frampton and Vivienne Lorret is the perfect anthology to read by the fire this holiday season. #romance #historical #holiday Click To Tweet

This sounds like a fun holiday read. I love them when I am in the mood for them. I have so much work to do but my holiday is coming so I plan on reading some. This one is on my list. Great review!

It was fun and this type of book is perfect for the week before Christmas when you want to read but have zero time.

  4. Anne

This has a bunch of well-known to me authors. I don’t read much historical romance but this might be a nice change from the contemporary ones I’ve been reading. Thanks for letting us know it’s a solid option. Anne – Books of My Heart

Oh that is funny that you read it last year. You and Anna do so great about posting ahead.

I like all those authors so it will be a when not if that I get to this one. Those sound cute. I’ve had those wary moments that turn to relief when a situation like the engagement isn’t as it seems. 🙂

LOL, it was more that my schedule was filled and I thought it would be silly to share a Christmas anthology in February?

I’m almost certain my wife has this on her bookshelf. It looks so familiar. I’ll have to tell her to check out your review and get on it! Nice review, Kimba.
