Guardians of Stone by Anita Clenney

When I saw the cover and the blurb for Guardians of Stone I immediately set out to order it for my Nook. Now many of you know I have a self-imposed rule about only buying eBooks during 2012. Now I have gotten around that a few times on holidays by specifically asking for a particular book, but you can only get away with that so many times.

River Road by Suzanne Johnson

I am completely in love with the Sentinels of New Orleans series and author Suzanne Johnson. I devoured the first book Royal Street and then proceeded to beg Tor for an advanced copy of River Road. Pretty When She Kills by Rhiannon Frater

Pretty When She Kills is the second book in Rhiannon Frater’s dark, gritty vampire trilogy. I was delighted to step back into this dark world and it was quite the adventure. Destined for an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost

I have been slowly working my way through this series. Believe it or not I own the entire series and they have been collecting dust on my shelf. Do any of you have series like that? I love the crazy whirl-wind romance of Cat and Bones. Destined for an Early Grave delivered tons of action, life and death situations and created problems for Cat and Bone’s relationship. It kept me riveted from page one and I quickly consumed this over the course of one day.

In a Fix by Linda Grimes

When I saw the cover and read the synopsis I knew I had to review In a Fix and was pleased when the publisher agreed to send it to me. I love urban fantasy and Linda Grimes delivered a hilarious, unique tale with a flawed, quirky protagonist. She reminded me of the character, Claudia Donovan, from the television series Warehouse 13. I laughed my way through this and look forward to more books featuring snarky Ceil Halligan and the men in her life.
