Sweet Little Lies by Jill Shalvis the first book in her Heartbreaker Bay series is only my second read by this wildly popular author. She delivers small-town swoony worth romances with delicious heat and it’s an intoxicating combo. Sweet Little Lies is a heartwarming tale filled with humor, an ugly mutt, and brothers. Shalvis had me reaching for truffles as I wiped away the tears.

New Leaf by Catherine Anderson
Last year I read and loved Silver Thaw, the first book in the Mystic Creek series and was delighted to have the opportunity to review and share New Leaf by Catherine Anderson the second book in the series. Touching with a dash of heat, Anderson brings heart to this small-town series that will have you pining to move to Mystic Creek, Oregon.
Best Worst Mistake by Lia Riley
Can I just say I love author Lia Riley and her Brightwater series. Best Worst Mistake is the third book in the series and I quickly became caught up in Wilder Kane and Quinn Higsby’s romance. A touch a heat, a dash of heart and a nip of suspense made Best Worst Mistake a winner.
Made for Us by Samantha Chase
I was drawn to Made For Us by Samantha Chase because I have a weakness for series involving brothers and small-towns. This is the first book in the Shaughnessy Brothers series and I was excited to dive in. While I had issues with the characters and angst, Chase managed to make me smile.
A New Hope by Robyn Carr
A New Hope is the eighth book in the Thunder Point series by Robyn Carr and one that I was excited to read. In the previous novel, we meet Ginger Dysart and her story just about broke my heart so I was eager to see her find her happy. Two damaged characters, tender moments and a slow-burning romance had me completely swept up in the romance A New Hope delivered.
Under the Lights by Shannon Stacey
I read the first Kowalski Family, #1 novel by Shannon Stacey and quite enjoyed it. Since then I have been meaning to catch up on the series but we all know how that goes. When I saw, she had a brand new series I decided to begin there instead. Under the Lights is the first book in the Boys of Fall series centers around the “golden boys of fall” Stewart Mills High School’s legendary championship football team. Now while the cover may scream young adult or new adult, this is in fact a contemporary adult romance with small-town charm and a little football.
