The Sugarhouse Blues by Mariah Stewart is the second book in the Hudson Sisters series and it was delightful to return to this small Pennsylvania town as the sisters Allie, Des, and Cara, work to restore the Sugarhouse theater. Cute dogs, wicked banter, and family gave way to growth and bonding.
Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton
Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton is quite the departure from Cleeton’s contemporary romance series, but she delivered a rich, detailed historical fiction with an air of mystery and a look into Cuba’s history, culture, and people.
This Fallen Prey by Kelley Armstrong
This Fallen Prey returns us to the remote town of Rockton, in Kelley Armstrong’s gripping Casey Duncan suspense series. Sheriff Eric Dalton and Detective Casey Duncan have their hands full when the Council has them babysitting a serial killer. Twists and non-stop danger had me reading into the wee hours.
Keep Her Safe by K.A. Tucker
I have enjoyed K.A. Tucker’s stories since she first began writing and have watched her transition from contemporary romances to romantic suspense. Each book has been more powerful than the next. Keep Her Safe delivered a suspenseful mystery thriller with a side dish of romance that finished out my 2017 reads with a bang!
The Christmas Room by Catherine Anderson
THE CHRISTMAS ROOM by Catherine Anderson delivered a heartfelt tale of family, love, second chances making it the perfect holiday read. Anderson made me laugh, sigh, and weep as she put me in the holiday spirit. Grab a cup of cocoa and enjoy my coffee dates with THE CHRISTMAS ROOM.
