I was drawn to LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE by Celeste Ng thanks to fellow bloggers and decided to review the audio. Ng takes us inside the homes of ” the perfect neighborhood, ” and while you may envy their perfect little life, they are far from happy. Brilliantly poignant Ng’s grasp on human relationships, particularly those of the mother-daughter dynamic was cleverly insightful.

The Summer That Made Us by Robyn Carr
THE SUMMER THAT MADE US by Robyn Carr is a touching tale of family and their summer house on Lake Waseka. Now twenty-five years later one of the children is dying, and the summer house will open for one last summer. Can they recapture the magic? Heal old wounds? Carr takes readers along for this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking and magical summer.
Devil’s Cut by J.R. Ward
DEVIL’S CUT by J.R. Ward brilliantly concludes the Bourbon Kings series. This beautiful, page-turning saga held me captive. It features the Bradford family and their Bourbon dynasty which is poised to collapse amidst scandal, murder, and betrayal.
When I Need You by Lorelei James
WHEN I NEED YOU by Lorelei James is the fourth book in the Need You series. The stories center around the Lund family siblings, and this was Jensen “The Rocket” Lund’s story. A strong heroine, an adorable five-year-old, and a sexy man who loves a particular fictional series had me devouring their story.
Slightly South of Simple by Kristy Woodson Harvey
SLIGHTLY SOUTH OF SIMPLE by Kristy Woodson Harvey is the perfect book to take to the beach this summer. The first in the Peachtree Bluff series, this women’s fiction novel takes you to the seaside town of Peachtree Bluff as Ansley finds her beachfront home filled to the brim.
A Lowcountry Christmas by Mary Alice Monroe
A Lowcountry Christmas by Mary Alice Monroe is the fifth novel in her popular Lowcountry Summer series. This was my first experience with both and Monroe delighted me with this story as she shared one family’s struggles. It’s almost Christmas and finances are tight bringing disappointment to their youngest as their oldest son struggles with PTSD.
