Midway is a novella in the Harvesting series by Melanie Karsak and the perfect little hold me over till the release of book two, The Shadow Aspect, coming in 2015. While characters are familiar to those who have read The Harvesting, book one it is something anyone can enjoy.
It’s that time of year again, where I pull my hair out trying to select my top ten adult reads. As many of you know I read adult fiction in many genres, making my task incredibly difficult. Say Yes to the Marquess the second book in Tessa Dare’s Castle Ever After series was such a delicious romp. Take a strong, quirky, intelligent heroine and a ruthless prizefighter and notorious rake then, mix in a castle, meddlesome siblings and you have the makings of a brilliant tale that will make you laugh and swoon!
I love a good romantic suspense and when you add in a Texas Ranger, I get curious. Foster Justice is the first in Colleen Shannon’s Texas Ranger series and despite not connecting to the romance the case itself kept me flipping the pages.
It has been a while since I read a mystery by Mary Higgins Clark and was excited to listen to The Cinderella Murder the first in the Under Suspicion series. The stories feature cold cases, unsolved murders for a television program and the Cinderella Murder introduced us to Laurie Moran the producer of the television series Under Suspicion. Clark offered a compelling campus mystery with plenty of likely suspects.
