I read THE DEAD ZONE by Stephen King in the summer of 1979 and watched the movie in 1983 starring Christopher Walken as Johnny Smith. So it only made sense to revisit this classic on audio especially when it’s narrated by James Franco. Franco nailed it, and it was delightful to revisit this classic. Wahoo! Do I love the writing team that is Ilona Andrews? You’re darn tooting I do. It felt like we waited forever for WHITE HOT the second novel in the Hidden Legacy series, but oh man it was worth the wait! Intense and kick-ass with an excellent side of swoon!
BECAUSE OF MISS BRIDGERTON by Julia Quinn is the first novel in a prequel series to the Bridgeton series featuring the Rokesbys family. Filled with snark and hilarious banter that has become the signature mark of Quinn’s writing I delighted in the antics of Billie and George.
VEILED MENACE by Deborah Blake is the second book in the Veiled Magic series. While this wasn’t as fast paced as VEILED MAGIC, Blake offers plenty of reveals as Donata’s role for the police department expands.
DEATH & THE BREWMASTER’S WIDOW by Loretta Ross is the second novel in the Auction Block Mystery series. Once again I chose to listen to the narrations of Amanda Ronconi. Suspenseful with action, danger, and the unthinkable “whodunit.”
