This was a twisty southern murder mystery that pulled me in as we meet Vera Boyett, a disgraced deputy police chief who returns home when a body is discovered on her family’s homestead.
Narrated by Daniela Acitelli, Thirst for Sin is the first audiobook in the Touch of Evil thriller series by Kennedy Layne. Brooklyn Sloane, is a special consultant for the FBI who finds herself in the field when she thinks she has discovered a serial killer’s first victim. An intense tale and a great start to an intriguing series.
I remember reading headlines about this case and listened to the true crime audiobook of Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida, by Mikita Brottman. Narrated by Leon Nixon this takes us through the entire story and held me captive.

Sanctuary by Ilona Andrews is the first novella in the Roman’s Chronicles. I listened to the audiobook version, narrated by Chris Brinkley and throughly enjoyed spending Koliada, the Winter Festival, with him as he protects a young boy. Action-packed and laced with humor and heart Andrews delivered!
