If you have been staying Caffeinated then you already know Jayne Anne Krentz and her pseudonyms are on my auto-buy list. I consumed, River Road, when it released in January and I’m delighted to share it with you. Set in wine country, Krentz delivers a murder mystery with complicated suspects and a hero and heroine we can adore. To: Loupe @ Hot Listens, Maja @ Nocturnal Library and Carmel @ Rabid Reads…I thank you from the bottom of my heart. To say I loved Written in Red would be an understatement. To say I was obsessed with listening to it would ring closer to the truth. I listen to the eighteen hour and thirty-two minute audio in less than three days! When I wasn’t listening I was thinking, obsessing and talking about it. Mini review: Compelling, magical and engaging. Brilliant, breathtaking and world-building euphoria.
Lovely, Dark and Deep by Susannah Sandlin was a serial that I read over the course of eight weeks, and it was such a thrilling adventure. (Kindle Serials are stories published in episodes, with future episodes delivered at no additional cost.) Sandlin once again showcased her talent as she delved into the romantic suspense genre. Mini review: Intense, action-packed, romantic and engaging.
Crave is the first novel in the Billionaire Bachelors Club series by Monica Murphy, and it offered up a delightful romance, an interesting bet and some swoon-worthy men. While the tale delivers familiar tropes, it was filled with wicked banter and heat that left me smiling. Mini review: Romantic, sweet and downright sexy, Crave delivered the perfect afternoon escape.
It’s over, and I want to cry. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi was the last book in the Shatter Me series, and it has been one heck of a ride. From Mafi’s breathtakingly beautiful writing style to her characters that wrapped themselves around my heart this has been an epic journey. Mini review: Mafi delivered growth, choices, romance and a satisfying ending that left me with a smile.
