I love Kelley Armstrong’s A Rip Through Time series featuring twenty-first-century detective Mallory who finds found in 1869 Edinburgh, in the body of Catriona Mitchell, a housemaid working for Dr. Duncan Gray, a pioneer in forensic science. Kirkyard & Kindness is a novella in the series and just the thing to hold me over until the next full-length novel in the series.
A Moveable Feast by Jennifer Ashley
In A Moveable Feast, Kat Holloway’s employer abruptly moves Easter dinner to her friend’s house when their cook becomes ill…but something is afoot and Kate is determined to discover what is happening.
Silver and Lead by Seanan McGuire
Seanan McGuire’s October Daye series is one of my favorites, particularly the audio version narrated by Mary Robinette Kowal. Silver and Lead is the nineteenth novel in the series, and something is rotten in Faerie. Suspense, tears and treachery await you in this installment.
The Hitchhikers by Chevy Stevens
It’s the summer of 1976 when Alice and Tom set out across Canadian highways in their new RV. It’s a trip planned to help them heal from a personal tragedy, and it’s all about to go terribly wrong when they help a young couple hitchhiking in The Hitchhikers by Chevy Stevens. You’ll want to add this thriller to your fall reading list.
The English Wife by Lauren Willig
Sophia Rose is here with a historical fiction suspense. The English Wife by Lauren Willig, narrated by Barrie Krienik delivers an atmospheric and gothic Gilded Age standalone. Come check out her thoughts…
