Diamond Fire by Ilona Andrews is a novella in their Hidden Legacy series and while I can’t hide my disappointment that this was only a novella I will tell you this was amazing! Despite the page count the Andrews delivered a full story filled with a mystery, snark and glimmers of what is to come as Rogan takes Nevada home to meet Momma.
River Bodies by Karen Katchur
River Bodies by Karen Katchur is the first novel in the Northampton County mystery series. Multiple POVs, childhood flashbacks and a suspenseful buildup provided an entertaining mystery in Portland, Pennsylvania, a small river town that borders New Jersey, where neighbors keep their heads down and look the other way.
Changeling by Molly Harper
Changeling is the first in the Sorcery and Society series by Molly Harper. When I saw Amanda Ronconi would narrate, I knew I had to listen. Boarding schools, dark secrets, magical books, social classes and suspense await you.
Scribe by Alyson Hagy
Beautifully written prose with haunting images and depth, Alyson Hagy pulled me into the dystopian world of Scribe, as narrator Shannon McManus’ southern twang enveloped me.
Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett
I picked up Foundryside after reading a recommendation from Kevin Hearne, and I couldn’t be happier. I listened to the narration performed by Tara Sands. An action-packed, suspenseful tale with an unlikely heroine set in a dystopian world, Bennett captivated and enthralled me from the opening chapter.
