The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh is a stunning debut novel that will forever change the way you look at flowers. Diffenbaugh weaves a tale about love, faith, endurance and one woman’s battle to overcome her troubled past.
Against the Storm is the fourth installment in the Raines of Wild Canyon series by Kat Martin. Fear not, each book can be read as a standalone. In each tale Martin gives us a suspenseful situation, a female in distress and a sexy cowboy to help save the day.
The Secret of Lies by Barbara Forte Abate has to be one of the best novels I have ever had the pleasure to read. I was shocked to learn this is Abate’s first published work. Her writing style brings to mind such authors as Harper Lee and John Steinbeck. She writes with such detail, bringing images to life with the stroke of her pen. In her debut novel, she delivers a touching tale about, love, innocence, betrayal, loss and lies.
Shadow in Serenity by Terri Blackstock is a faith based novel set in Serenity, Texas. This was a heart-warming novel about faith, love, second chances and the spirit of one small town. I enjoyed the characters Blackstock created and the wonderful tale she tells.
A Clockwork Christmas is the perfect holiday gift for anyone who loves steampunk romances. The anthology contains four tales set in unique locations. I enjoyed each tale in this delightful book. The four stories offer a brief glimpse into the wonderful world that is steampunk.
The Kissing Tree is a delightfully sweet historical romance. Although a year is not given, it takes place in early American history. Colorado has been settled. Small towns have been established around farming and cattle ranch communities. Crystal Creek is just such a small town.
Lonestar Angel is a suspenseful romance with a dash of faith. This book grabbed me from page one. It has all the ingredients for the perfect book.
