Each of these books can be read as a standalone and focuses on one member of an elite team of vampires who protect humankind from the Darkbloods. This novel brings us Tristan Santiago and Roxanne Reynolds romance. As they search for a spy among his team, this undercover couple finds more than they bargained for. I consumed this in one evening as London quickly took me back to the Pacific Northwest and the headquarters of the Guardians.
Sweet Savage Blood by Carolina Courtland
Sweet Savage Blood by Carolina Courtland is the first of three novels. This is an epic YA romance that spans nearly two hundred years. It is also the story of a vampire hunter, a witch and reincarnation. I quickly consumed this novel in a single evening and look forward to continuing this saga.
Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
Shadow of Night is the second book from the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. I could not wait to get back to Diana and Matthew’s story and unlock the secrets of Asmole 782. I am delighted to inform you that Shadow of Night delivered all that I hoped for and more. Harkness brings the past to life as we travel back in time and adds new depth to the characters that I adore. I literally consumed this and cannot wait for the final novel. If I had to sum up my opinion in three words they would be; captivating, beautiful and breathtaking.
